The eagerly awaited superhero movie "The Flash" has been based on the popular DC Comics character. The film is directed by a renowned director and seeks to bring the famous speedster to the big screen in a daring and visually appealing manner. The performance of the lead actor is one of the film's strengths. His portrayal of the character brings out the character's wit, charm, and resolve, making him a likable and sympathetic superhero. What adds more to the richness of the story is the movie's action sequences which are a visual feast for the eyes paired with dynamic camerawork and outstanding CGI. A few of the negative points as recorded according to the critics is the fast-pacing story of the movie which makes the plot look too complicated. Despite the flaws the movie in totality is a delight and should be watched by all the superhero lovers out there.

The film will reportedly ignore the events of Batman Forever (1995) and Batman & Robin (1997) and come up with new stories about Michael Keaton's Batman to fill the gap between Batman Returns (1992) and this film.
In contrast to the infamously troubled production of "Justice League", Ben Affleck said that he had a great time reprising his role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in this film.
At San Diego Comic Con 2017, it was announced that this film would be a loose adaptation of The Flashpoint storyline.
The film is confirmed NOT to be an origin story.
Greg Berlanti was at one point attached to direct the film. He subsequently went on to develop The Flash (2014) TV Series.
