This movie was featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000 (season 5, episode 3).

The script was largely based on "The Three Musketeers."

There were two versions of this movie. The first was screened at the Picwood Theatre in Westwood, LA, CA. It had a score by John Lurie. The actual released version is a re-cut, incorporating re-shoots and a remix, with a new score by Mitchell Froom. This second version is what was aired on Mystery Science Theater 3000.
