TRIVIA

Trivia

Deep Purple was supposed to record the album that became Machine Head at the Montreux Casino, but burned down during a Frank Zappa concert there the day before recording was to begin, forcing the band to find an alternate location to record. Deep Purple memorialized the incident in the song "Smoke On The Water" which appears on the album.
