TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

At one point, Donald and the crew ask to sit at a table with three men, but they are scared away. The three men at the table are Hamill's co-stars from the original Star Wars trilogy: Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), David Prowse (Darth Vader), and Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett).

Don Swan interviews Kevin Smith in the movie and asks him about Smith's fictional first draft of the Commander Courage movie. Smith mentions the movie's producers constantly hounding him over adding a giant spider to the 'Courage' script for no reason, among other problems. The scene is directly referencing Smith's famous real-life hassles attempting to draft a 'Superman' script for Warner Bros.

Sid Caesar's last film.

At the convention, Leo stands next to a cardboard cutout of Fry from Futurama (1999). Billy West provides the voice of Fry on the show.

Jess Harnell makes repeated references to the Marvel Comics character The Hulk. His father is Joseph Harnell, who wrote the theme music for The Incredible Hulk (1977).

Popular Dialogues

"Donald Swan: When I sat through Pearl Harbor, I just loved that movie. But can you imagine if Ben Affleck was able to fly up, break the planes in half and dump the Japanese into the ocean?"
