TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Although pornography addiction virtually always involves some form of masturbation or sexual activity, the film never even implies that the son is touching himself during his marathon viewing sessions; he simply looks at the photos.

One of the pornographic web sites shown in the film was labeled "naked woman with no clothes on."

The director of the movie played all of the generic background music.

Director Tom McLaughlin built his career in the 1980s by constantly shopping around both comedy and horror scripts he wanted to direct, a dichotomy which earned him the job of directing Friday the 13th Pt. 6 when Paramount decided they wanted a more tongue-in-cheek installment in the franchise. This has led many critics to believe that McLaughlin willfully played up some of the more sensational aspects of the script in order to create an intentionally "so-bad-it's-good" film.

During a blink and you'll miss it moment, an image of a scantily clad anime girl can be seen among the many otherwise real life images of half naked women that Justin is downloading onto the family computer.

Popular Dialogues

"Amy: [Justin and Monica are kissing on the bed] I really missed you. [Justin slowly moves his hand down Monica's thigh] Amy: Justin. Amy: What? Amy: I can't. Amy: What do you mean we can't? Why not? [they get up off the bed and Justin stands up angry] Amy: You know what? This is so stupid! Why do we have to be the last people to do everything! Amy: I don't care what other people do. If all you want is a friend with benefits, then maybe you should find someone else! Amy: Maybe I should."

"Diane Petersen: You have a problem with pornography. Justin Petersen: No, Dr. Phil, I don't."
