"Daasi" is a Pakistani Urdu language romantic drama show directed and written by Mohsin Talat and Misbah Nausheen which translates to "Slave". It was broadcast on 16 September 2019 on Hum TV. The Story of the serial is very thrilling, it revolves around a young, vibrant and beautiful girl belonging to a lower-middle-class family, Sunehri who falls in love with Ahil, a rich, handsome and successful businessman. However, the people around them don't want them to be together and try to threaten their relationship. Basically, the plot revolves around Sunehri's journey as she becomes entangled in a complex web of relationships and conflicts, particularly with Ahil. The show explores themes of love, sacrifice, societal norms, and class differences. It received positive reviews for its strong performances by all the cast, engaging storyline, and emotional depth. The lead roles of Sunheri and Ahil are played by Mawra Hocane and Adeel Hussain respectively. They delivered an absolutely brilliant performance.Â
