The last animated Dr. Seuss TV special.
This story was found by Dr. Seuss' widow Audrey Geisel after his death; he had written it in the form of a script and then had tucked it away. A novelization was written and published by the same publisher who'd published the stories Dr. Seuss had written while he was alive.
Originally, it was Daisy's father who was the welder. Their roles were switched around in order to modernize the script.
The last special to be made for the original creator Hanna-Barbera Cartoons.
The first special premiered on cable, and it was only aired on TNT.
