Dakghor is a Bengali comedy-drama series that follows the story of Damodar Das, a new postmaster who comes to the remote village of Hagda. As he settles into his routine, he develops a connection with the villagers and falls in love with Monjori. However, he also searches for a sliver of his long-lost childhood. The series captures the small-town vibes and warmth of the villagers quite well, and it is heartwarming too. Suhotra Mukhopadhyay plays the role of Damodar Das with warmth and care, with a realistic sense of vulnerability. The love story between Damodar and Monjori is slow-paced and pure, and the little moments between them are cute to watch. The emotional notes of the series are subtle, and the audience can feel Damodar's emotions and his search for a connection. The last episode is the only part of the series that may seem unnecessary. However, overall, Dakghor is a simple and enjoyable series that leaves a smile on your face.
