TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Toward the end of the film, Miranda Bailey hands Gina Philips the crossbow with a gentle toss. The first take was a bigger toss, and Gina got hit with the crossbow, chipped a tooth, and split her lip.

Director Matthew Luetwyler and actor Brent David Fraser (The Drifter) had been constant comrades in the early 1990s, in a group of guys that hung out together nearly every day, including actors Billy Burke and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, but hadn't seen each other for the better part of a decade when they re-joined on the the "Dead & Breakfast" set to work together.

Erik Palladino's driver's license is still blood stained from his battle with a chainsaw.

Was originally rated NC-17, due to the extreme violence, blood, and gore, and had to be re-edited to get an R-rating.

When Melody (Gina Philips) kills one of the zombies, the Sheriff (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) says, "Nice move, Buffy." Bianca Lawson, who plays Kate in the film, played Kendra on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997). Jeffrey Dean Morgan guest-starred on the Buffy spin-off Angel (1999), as Sam Ryan.

Popular Dialogues

"The Sheriff: Now, hold it there, Doc. How can we be sure you ain't possessed? I mean, hell, I just shot you and you're still standing. Doc Riley: Ah, well, you ain't got me but on my shoulder. The Sheriff: I guess that makes sense. All right, why don't you tell me who won last year's annual cow chip throwing contest. Doc Riley: What? The Sheriff: You heard me. If it is really you, you'd know. Doc Riley: Well, shoot, sheriff, that's kinda a trick question 'cause Lovelock ain't never had an annual cow chip throwing contest. Uh-huh. It alternates every year with the greasy pig catching competition. The Sheriff: Ah, he's okay. All right, Doc, get your ass over here."

"Johnny: [with an arrow sticking through his chest] Melody! I'm surprised at you. Aren't you supposed to be all spiritual and non-violent?"
