The twins die together in the movie, the book, and the real tale on which the movie is based, but something told us that this gender-flipped version wouldn't follow suit. While Elliot and Beverly Mantle were beautifully portrayed in this series by Rachel Weisz as having entirely distinct personalities, their personal lives began to unravel as their birthing centre's prosperity grew. The intimate relationship that Elliot and Beverly had spent their whole lives cherishing was put in jeopardy when Genevieve (Britne Oldford) and Beverly fell deeply in love. Soon, information about their childhood began to leak out, and Elliot continued to flaunt her medical ethics in the name of breaking new scientific ground. As part of a "fluff piece," writer Silas Jordan (Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine) followed the twins about and, in the process, got a little too close, seeing both their impending demise and the accident that would put one of their careers to a stop.
