"Dear Molly" is a 2018 marathi movie and it is a story about a man who abandons his family in India and relocates to Sweden to pursue his research. Many years later his young daughter travels to Sweden to look for him. Gurbani Gill who played the role of Molly, it was her debut performance and she did a decent job. Alok Rajwade was also alright as her father. Mrinmayee Godbole lends decent support as Molly's mother. Christer Holmgren, Ashwini Giri, Lia Boysen and lend routine support. A lot of tender moments are there in the movie and the director's direction was also quite sensitive but still the overall impact of the uni-dimensional story on the audience's heart and mind is weak. Background music by Shailendra Barve is quite average. You can't expect much from this movie as it is only an average movie, not more than that. Maybe a one time watch.Â
The lead actress Gurbani Gill also appears in the OkCupid India advertisement.
