Samuel L. Jackson and Bill Nunn (both graduates of Morehouse College in Atlanta) appeared in several movies together directed by fellow Morehouse alum Spike Lee. Despite being made five years prior to 'Vampire in Brooklyn' (1995), it wasn't available until 1997 in Sweden, as a direct-to-video-release. Due to some common themes (such as a African American vampire in New York), it was promoted as a sequel to 'Vampire in Brooklyn'.
