Originally slated to star Ruffa Gutierrez, Gretchen Barretto, Pops Fernandez, and Dawn Zulueta - four of the big female stars of the 90's. But a misunderstanding between Grethen and Dawn over a shampoo commercial production caused this production to temporarily shelved off. It was later revived with a new cast.
Other actresses that were considered were: Joyce Jimenez, Aiko Melendez and Carmina Villaroel.
The role of Iza Calzado was originally for Dawn Zulueta. Rufa Mae Quinto's role was supposedly for Pops Fernandez. Ruffa Gutierrez, the lone star remaining in the original line-up, takes on Gretchen Barretto's role. Rufa's role went to Marian Rivera.
Lucy Torres-Gomez was offered by Lily Y. Monteverde to be part of the movie, but turned it down.
Initially, Zanjoe Marudo and Bruce Quebral were casted as the leading man of Ruffa Gutierrez and the basketball player love interest of Marian Rivera. However, due to conflict in schedule, they were replaced.
