TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Brad Pitt originally auditioned for the lead role. Director David DeCoteau said in an interview that while Pitt didn't fit the role, he had a feeling Pitt would go on to bigger things. Two years later he was happy to see he was right when he saw Pitt pop up in Thelma & Louise (1991).

A sequel, under the name of Star Pupil, was planned but never filmed.

At the beginning of the movie, as Dr. Ackerman is driving, the radio announcer says a woman on Grover's Mill Drive has called in a UFO report. Grover's Mill is where Orson Welles had the Martians initially land in his famous panic-inducing radio version of 'War of the Worlds'.

Wesley's little brother is eating a cereal called "Creep-O-Zoids". This is a reference to director David DeCoteau's previous film, Creepozoids (1987). Wesley's parents are also watching this film on TV.

Shot in 19 days.

Popular Dialogues

"[after the sexually violated Wesley won't come by free will to the aliens' home planet to impregnate the female aliens there] Xenobia: Please, think about the fate of our planet! Wesley: Oh, sure, just like you thought of what this stuff would do to me. You tampered with my life. You violated the "prime directive"! Drax: What? Wesley: Didn't you guys ever see Star Trek? Drax: Well, I liked the first two seasons of the old show, and a couple of the movies were okay, but... Xenobia: What is this "prime directive"? Wesley: Ah, it's a rule they had about not interfering with people and cultures on other planets... like you did."

"Wesley: You stay away from me. You are not of this earth! Xenobia: Wesley, you say that as if it were a negative thing."
