This movie was originally called "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi," but director David Dhawan wanted it changed to sound more like a Yashraj film which released this movie. They also wanted a reference to Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), whence the story was loosely taken.
Salman Khan and Karisma's second last film together before Chal Mere Bhai.
Remake of Ek Phool Char Kaante.
The title song of TV Serial AAHA (1995) was reworked as "Dheere Dheere Chalna, Yun Na Tu Matakna" in DULHAN HUM LE JAAYENGE by Himesh Reshamiya.
Initially titled 'Muzse shadi karogi'. Film even contains a song having this title. In 2004 a film is made with this title by same director (David Dhawan) and actor ( Salman Khan). Coincidentally that film also contains 'Muzse shadi karogi' song, but composed differently.
