This short was shot over the course of two ten-hour days on Saturday and Sunday, 1 March 2003 and 2 March 2003. The 2nd day of shooting coincided with the L.A. Marathon XVIII.
The sketch was originally intended to be longer, but cut down due to time constraints.
This is the first known filmed meeting between Alice of Wonderland and Dorothy of Oz. There have been many literary works paring the two.
"Alice: [to Clara] A wise caterpillar once told me, "Things are not always what they seem". Goldilocks: [to Alice] Girl, seriously, you need to lay off the hookah!"
"Sleeping Beauty: [smiling] I need to get coffee. Alice: [closing her book] Same time, next week. Dorothy: Weather permitting."
