Trivia

When Violet (Alexis Bledel) is going to take a shower in The Guy's (James Gandolfini's) bathroom, if looking closely at her right shoulder, you can see a rose tattoo. This is likely an homage to her deceased partner Rose.

Carey Mulligan was originally cast as Violet but opted to do Drive (2011) instead. She was replaced by Alexis Bledel.

Second movie from 2011 in which Saoirse Ronan played a teenage assassin. The other being Hanna (2011).

One of James Gandolfini's last acting roles before his death on June 19, 2013.

Writer, Producer, and Director Geoffrey Fletcher stated that Pulp Fiction (1994), Superbad (2007), and Thelma & Louise (1991) were his inspirations for this movie (the title is a reference to Thelma & Louise (1991)).
