"Earth to Echo" was produced and financed by Walt Disney Pictures. After chairman Alan F. Horn saw a final cut, it was put in turnaround and was purchased by Relativity Media.
The sound that Echo makes is an actual iPhone text tone called alert.
Alex (Teo Halm) was a resident at the town for four years.
Mulberry Woods is a fictional town in Nevada, USA which is the residence of Tuck, Alex and Munch, the film's three main characters, and the location of the spaceship Echo uses to leave Earth. Earth to Echo was actually shot in Santa Clarita California, which can be seen in a billboard advertising dental care for a few seconds during the film.
Earth To Echo is the very 1st PG rated found footage movie.
"[last lines] Tuck: When you're a kid you think you're invisible. You think you can't make a difference. We're not kids anymore. We know now that we can do anything. Having a friend light-years away taught us that distance is just a state of mind. If you're best friends, then you always will be... No matter where you are in the universe."
"Alex: I don't really know how to say goodbye, so I'm not gonna. And um... um, you're my friend you know, and when I'm old, even when you think I've forgotten, I'm always gonna be there."
