TRIVIA

Trivia

First ECW PPV appearances for Bam Bam Bigelow (Bam Bam Bigelow), Al Snow and Chris Candido. It was Bigelow's first PPV appearance since Survivor Series (1995), Snow's first since WWF in Your House: Final Four (1997) and his first under the Al Snow name, and Candido's first since Summerslam (1996) and his first under his own name.

PPV in-ring debuts for Spike Dudley (Matt Hyson), PG-13 (JC Ice (Jamie Dundee) and Wolfie D (Kelly Wolfe)) and Tommy Dreamer. In PG-13's case, it was their only PPV match as a team, and JC Ice's only PPV match ever. It was Wolfie D.'s only PPV match under that name and his last PPV appearance until NWA: Total Nonstop Action: NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #1 (2002), where he wrestled under the name Slash.

Only ECW PPV appearance for Jerry "The King" Lawler, and his final ECW appearance overall.

Dave Meltzer's "The Wrestling Observer Newsletter" rated the ECW World Heavyweight Title Three-Way-Dance between Champion Sabu (Terry Brunk), Shane Douglas and Terry Funk 3 1/2 stars out of a maximum possible five. Douglas won, marking his third reign as NWA ECW Heavyweight Champion/ECW World Heavyweight Champion and ending Sabu's second and final reign.

The Dudley Boys (Buh Buh Ray (Mark LoMonaco) and D-Von (Devon Hughes)) were awarded the ECW World Tag Team Titles because the previous Champions the Gangstas (New Jack (Jerome Young) and Mustafa (Jamal Mustafa)) had split up due to Mustafa leaving the promotion. They defended the belts against PG-13. This marked the Dudleys' third reign out of what would ultimately a record-setting eight.
