Originally intended as a vehicle for Mary Millington who died before filming started.

Special premiere held in Sheffield, the birthplace of Julie Lee four days before the official premiere in London

It was originally intended that Julie Lee would play Emmanuelle, but she swapped roles with Angie Quick.

Executive Producer David Sullivan got into trouble with the British censors, ironically for claiming that the film was stronger than it actually was.

Conceived as "Funeral in Soho" starring Mary Millington. Her death (drug overdose) in August, 1979 led to the script being re-written.
