TRIVIA

Trivia

After being hurled into the swimming pool near the end of the movie by Alan Lake, Diane Foster was taken to hospital, having hit the bottom of the shallow end. The cast seen diving in were attempting a genuine rescue and was not scripted. The ambulance arriving when the scene cut to outside the house was real and was left in the movie. This was documented in a News of the World feature later.

During production, Diana Dors accused Mary Millington of having an affair with her husband Alan Lake. When Dors discovered it wasn't true, she and Millington became friends. Ironically, they then ended up having a one-night lesbian affair. But Millington later recalled it was "disastrous" because Dors was so clumsy and domineering.

During filming, Alan Lake shocked his co-stars by punching an extra following Lake's inability to get his own line right.

During one of the scenes at the races, a PA announcement asks "David Sullivan, the trainer, to come to the weighing room immediately". David Sullivan was the movie's executive producer.

Windsor Davies receives a 'Special Guest Appearance' credit.
