Lawrence Tierney's last film.
Much of the money raised for the film came from Reservoir Dogs residual checks contributed by actor and silent producer Lawrence Tierney.
The final budget for the film was approximately $100,000. Director Michael Tierney got the film in the can for about $12,000, but additional shooting and post production added much more to the budget. About half of the budget went to post sound (dialogue edit, sound effects, original music, and final sound mix.)
Shannon Elizabeth appears only briefly in the film. She was chosen to appear on the cover of the original DVD and VHS release in 2004 due to her rise in fame in the movie American Pie (1999). This caused upset for her fans who rented Evicted only to be disappointed by her lack of screen time.
The film was shot, edited, and completed on 16mm film.
