The film had its world premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on September 3, 2024.

Principal photography took place at the Villa Gardens retirement community in Pasadena, California.

Residents of the retirement community participated in the filmmaking process and also acted in the film.

Director Sarah Friedland won the 'Lion of the Future' award for Best Debut Film at the Venice Film Festival.
