Stephen Egerton (guitarist of the Descendents) played a small part in the 1984 film "The Philadelphia Experiment" under the name Stephen O'Reilly. Stephen is recognizable as always being bald but in the film he had a full head of hair that he wore in the style of Liberty spikes.
"Keith Morris: My history with Bill goes all the way back to the Hermosa Tackle Box, which was a business that my father owned on Pier Avenue down in Hermosa Beach. My recollection is, him working for my dad when he was about 14 or 15 and asking me [looks up] Keith Morris: "Keith, what music should I be listening to?""
"Bill Stevenson: [about Frank Navetta] I was in awe of all these great songs he had written, and he would play them on the acoustic guitar, really hard, like Johnny Ramone style, all six strings. He had this bitter resentment that drenched every step he took and every word that he spoke and his songs were just filled with that envy of people that are better looking, that are more successful. It was just really inspiring to just be around someone who just hated everything that much, you know, it was just great."
