IMDbThe story of two lovers united by choice but separated by fate. The movie is an emotional whirlpool that takes the viewers through the romance and lives of two volcanologists. The movie happens to be a collection of about 100 hours of footage that was taken by the couple. The cinematography and the quality of content displayed look quite authentic and go well with the central themes of the film. Like every other movie, it also has its fair share of bad points. According to the critics and audience, the movie featured many narrative gaps that spoiled the film's overall content. The makers could have presented the footage in a better way which would have been more appealing to the audience. Overall, it has been termed a great documentary which is visually stunning and exceptional. Maurice and Katia, displayed as one-of-a-kind, passionate, and inspiring couple who enjoyed getting up close and personal with volcanoes and experiencing life on the edge.
