Mike Cartel told his friend, director Carlos Tobalina that if he ever considered making a non-X-rated movie he would like to assist him. Tobalina said he had written a non-porn script and Cartel immediately accepted his offer as Assistant Director. Cartel's wife Mari Cartel was later hired as the Production Manager. The Cartels said they never had more fun working on a movie than they did on this film.
"Roy Hunter: On second thought, maybe it would be better if we had two body guards. Have you got a mean-looking friend? Wino Mike: Oh yeah, yeah, I got a real mean-looking friend. Roy Hunter: Okay, good, go get him and I'll wait right here for him. Wino Mike: Yeah, he's eating his lunch right now. Roy Hunter: I'll wait for him. Wino Mike: Hey, uh, Jake, I got a guy over here to pay us ten bucks for doing nothing. Wino Jake: Ten bucks for doing nothing? I'll do nothing for nothing."
