Fenella Fielding strongly disliked star Norman Wisdom, and was one of the few actresses to dare to speak about it. "Not a very pleasant man," she said. "Hand up your skirt first thing in the morning. Not exactly a lovely way to start a day's filming."
Tony Hatch wrote a song for the film, but Norman Wisdom insisted that he should be allowed to write the theme song. Hatch's song was re-titled and used in "Circus of Horrors (1960)."
When Norman is receiving tuition from Miss Dobson (Hattie Jacques), and Judy is giving a piano lesson to a young boy, the boy is Norman Wisdom's real life son Nick Wisdom. She also gives a lesson to another child later in the film. This child is also Norman's, his daughter, Jaqui Wisdom.
First full length feature of Dick Emery
Uncredited appearance by Justine Lord as party guest standing next to Sidney Tafler during Norman's song.
