TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Most of the monster designs come from the creators' pre-production that started in the early 2000s, with the working title Worst Case Scenario, as one of the first attempts to use the Internet to gather support from genre fans, e.g. involving them as extras for mass scenes. The plot of this splatter comedy would have centered around undead German WW2 soldiers coming from the sea and killing tourists at a beach. Production began in 2004, but by 2009 the project was officially abandoned and the team started to work on Frankenstein's Army instead. All that remains from Worst Case Scenario are two teaser trailers released in 2006 that feature some of the creatures that ended up being used in Frankenstein's Army more than ten years later.

The female teddy bear robot monster that is seen is credited in the end as teddy bear robot/Frankenstein's mother, meaning Dr. Frankenstein created the monster out of his own mother.

A lot of the robotic monsters featured in this movie would later inspire the design of enemies from Resident evil Village, most notably properlerhead. interestingly, all the enemies with inspiration drawn form this move are in the Heisenberg's factory section, which is intriguing as the character of Heisenberg was stated to have been inspired by the character Frankenstein officially by the devs.

The distress signal heard over the radio gives the coordinates of the laboratory as 51°17'28.00''N 13°22'04.00'' E, placing it in the town of Riesa, Germany.

In an earlier stage of production when the working title was "Worst Case Scenario" (which it had been for many years), a new writer that was brought into the project suggested changing the title. Director Richard Raaphorst was against this, claiming the title had gained fame on the internet and changing it would confuse followers.
