TRIVIA

Trivia

Due to the film's protest value and sensitive topic, no distributors picked it up after the film's Sundance premiere. As such, the film was shelved, much to director Lina Esco's behest and didn't get a wide release. In September 2014, nearly eight months after the film's premiere, IFC Films decided to distribute the film in North America, in association with Sundance Selects. The film was finally released for the public in December 12, 2014.

The film was panned by both critics and audiences, who thought the film couldn't live up to the message it was trying to send, and the overall direction of Lina Esco was amateurish.

Director Lina Esco didn't submit the film to MPAA for a rating as she thought the MPAA would give the film an adult rating due to its nude content and she wanted a wider audience to watch the film.
