The map on Yosemite Sam's desk has the words "Auto Club" written across the top.
When Yosemite Sam first begins to dig for buried treasure, Michigan J. Frog can be heard singing his signature "Hello, My Baby" song. Sam then throws out the green box that MJF was kept in.
As listed in the ending sequence, this was issued as a tribute to Sam's creator Friz Freleng, who had died the previous year.
Two classic films are nodded to here. The title spoofs "From Here to Eternity." And Bugs winks at "Casablanca" by mentioning the start of a beautiful friendship, a line Humphrey Bogart made famous at the end of the film. Here's looking at you, kid...
"Bugs Bunny: Now, that looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship. But what I don't understand is why anybody but me would want 18 carrots anyway."
"Bugs Bunny: Eh... What's up doc? Yosemite Sam: Doc? I ain't no doctor. But get off my treasure chest, or you'll be needing one. A doctor, that is. Bugs Bunny: You're cute."
