Jeroen Nieuwenhuize, a 'VJ' for Dutch music television channel "TMF" and DJ for "Radio 538", has a cameo.

The film is based on director Johan Nijenhuis' holiday experiences from his adolescence. Since he is originally from the Dutch region called Twente, he insisted that the cast take lessons so that their characters would be using Twents accents in the movie.
