Actor C.B. Mullen auditioned for a feature film Brandon Walz was producing called "The Poisoning". While he didn't get the part, Walz wanted him for the role of "Phil" in "Geek USA".
Daniel Brummel from the rock band Ozma was cast as "The Bum" on the very last day of shooting, hours before his scene was shot.
During the outdoor party scene, director Brandon Walz is occasionally seen wearing a Freddy Krueger sweater in the crowd.
