The original song was composed and sung by Malkit Singh and written by Veer Rahimpuri. The bhangra was also adapted for the Hindi film song "Gore Gaalon Wali Mil Gayi" ("Sahebzaade", 1992) and recreated for a song in the film "Tutak Tutak Tutiya" (2016).
