Writer Michelle Morgan titled the screenplay "Imogene", the name of the lead character played by Kristen Wiig. It is a name she says she's loved since Imogene Coca, who she saw in National Lampoon's Vacation (1983).

The writer Michelle Morgan also stars in the film as Georgina, she was one of the upper class aristocrat mean girls.

Includes three Tony Award nominees: Christopher Fitzgerald, Sydney Lucas, and Andrea Martin.includes four Tony Award nominees--also Annette Bening.

Annette Bening and Ronald Guttman acted together on stage many years earlier in the play "Coastal Disturbances" by Tina Howe. First in 1986 off-Broadway at the McGinn-Cazale Theater, then on Broadway in 1987 at Circle in the Square. Bening and the play were both nominated for Tony Awards that year.
