TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

This is the "Director's Cut" of the documentary material and runs approximately 159 minutes.

This is comprised of the blending of two related documentaries. One is a documentary about the rise and fall of World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW), a regional wrestling promotion headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The promoter was professional wrestler Jack Adkisson, known in the ring as Fritz von Erich. The other documentary deals with the incredible tragedies that befell Adkisson's sons who also wrestled under the "von Erich" name. Surviving son, Kevin von Erich, participated in the making of this documentary.

During the approximately 15 years since this "Director's Cut" was released, it was slowly discovered and built a cult following. The general consensus was the lack of some professional polish was overcome by the film's content. It has come to be regarded as one of the best behind-the-scenes look at the professional wrestling industry. It has now been released on Blu-Ray.

This was not made by a documentary filmmaker. This was made by someone who had a genuine passion for the subjects and shot this documentary to share that passion. This is often credited for the excellent quality of its contents.

Popular Dialogues
