This film is Ramon Etman's dream project. He claims he came up with the title 'Horizonica' at age eight. In 2000, he started work on the screenplay. After falling almost fatally ill, he recovered and managed to finish the project.
A lot of people had various roles. Renko Koppe for example 'died' over 10 times in this film.
With practically no budget, Ramon Etman managed to cast various Dutch celebrities, actors, singers, DJs, as well as cult filmmaker Lloyd Kaufman of Troma fame.
The movie was made by 1236 volunteers.
Ramon Etman worked together on various occasions with the people from Stunt Team B-Pro.
