TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Minnie Driver's father was from Swansea, Wales.

Port Talbot was chosen as one of the filming locations because it had working steel mill. This provided a good background for the working class poverty of Welsh miners and factory workers the producers wanted to portray.

Minnie Driver did her own singing and guitar playing.

Weather was very bad during the shoot, with rain and showers every day. Things were so bad that the producers started joking that every scene that was shot in sunshine would be in the final cut.

Producer Jon Finn said Minnie Driver was as much fun on the set as she is in the film.

Popular Dialogues

"Vivienne Mae: Kenny, every line you get right, you gotta think "fuck off" at the end of it. Make every line a "fuck off" to anybody who thinks that Kenny can't be Caliban."

"Vivienne Mae: I don't know much, but... I know you can't persuade someone to love you. And you can't blame the when they don't."
