Imlie is a Hindi drama series that is better left unwatched. It tells the story of an 18-year-old girl who goes through ups and downs in life. The worst part about Imlie is how illogical and unrealistic the story truly is. It shows taboo topics of cheating in serious relationships, which it tackles rather insensibly. The story is of an educated journalist who gets married to a village girl, as the latter starts showing her true colours after marriage. The guy then marries his true love of 7 years, and thus starts the unfortunate love triangle. The show has confused all its characters, by not even knowing who is in the right and in the wrong. All it does is try to portray a anti-hero style protagonist with decisions that are not too favourable by society. But making such a series without much to show in terms of script has resulted in this terrible adaptation of a popular Bengali play.
