    DCP Raksekhar Azad (Raj) is an invincible cop with a great aim. He arrests a terrorist by the name of Khan. But Khan lands in a prison cell that looks cushier than the Buckingham Palace. However, this gets Raj promoted, and he is congratulated by none other than his father-in-law, who is also a very high ranking policeman. Then all of a sudden, Raj finds out that many policemen would like to see Khan go free. He discusses this issue with his father-in-law, and to his surprise, does not find any support from him. Disagreements and arguments ensue, and as a result, his father-in-law gets killed. The Police suspect Raj of killing him, they begin the process of arresting him, he runs away, while Khan is all set to get freed to do whatever he likes.

Story
DCP Raksekhar Azad (Raj) is an invincible cop with a great aim. He arrests a terrorist by the name of Khan. But Khan lands in a prison cell that looks cushier than the Buckingham Palace. The film released on 26 October 2001 on the eve of Dusheera with excellent opening.

Rahul Dev who played a villain in Champion 2001 had a small role in the film and was very well appreciated for his guest role who sacrifices his life to save reputation of his mentor Sunny Deol.

Shilpa Shetty replaced Tabu.

A remake of Tamil film Vallarasu starring Vijayakanth.

Sunny Deol had started a film titled " Indian" in 1997. The script was based on Rajesh Khanna shelved film Waapsi. It was eventually made by Veeru Devgan as Hindustan Ki Kasam. Indian starred Sunny Deol (his first double role),Aishwarya Rai (Replaced Manisha Koirala) and Kamal Sidhu. Sonali Bendre auditioned for the film and was rejected in 1997. That film was to be directed by Padam Kumar. The film never got made but Sunny Deol used the title 4 years later for another film. Sunny Deol's cousin Goldie Singh was to debut as a actor in the original Indian that was launched in 1997. He was to play the role of a suicide bomber. Goldie is the son of producer Sher Jung Singh (Punchhi). Sher Jung was married to Dharmendra's sister. She passed away suddenly in 1988.
