IMDbThe movie “Inside man†happens to be one of the most interesting and nerve-wracking robbery films available in the entertainment industry. What fans enjoyed most about the movie is the minute details that have been given so much thought and how beautifully the different situations and scenes presented in the film originally get woven into a piece of art that does not fail to captivate the audience. Denzel Washington plays the primary role of Detective Keith Frazier. The direction and production of the film are also very commendable, and it is masterfully written and executed. It is a great watch and a perfect option for all the thriller lovers out there. The movie starts with a few interrogation sequences and progresses in the same direction step by step. Fans can notice the key details asked during the interrogation sequences which somehow gets linked to all the serious facts in the bank, all these factors make this movie one of the best heist films of all time.

The scene in the coffee shop was improvised. On the DVD commentary, Spike Lee states that when Denzel Washington ad-libbed the line "I'll bet you can get a cab though," he nearly ruined the take by laughing so loud at Washington's line.
According to Spike Lee, he and Willem Dafoe met in the men's room during the intermission of the play 'Julius Caesar', in which Denzel Washington appeared. As they were standing side by side in the men's room, Spike said: "We should work together" and Dafoe replied: "Yeah, Spike, we should" and that was it. Later on, Spike sent him the script.
The interrogation scenes were mostly ad-libbed.
Jodie Foster dubbed herself in the French version.
The scene in which the boy shows Dalton the video game he is playing on his PSP was not in the original script. Director Spike Lee added it to "make a comment on gangster rap's infatuation with violence." The game is not real, but was created by an animation house. Lee asked them to come up with animation for "the most violent game ever".
"Dalton Russell: I'm no martyr. I did it for the money. But it's not worth much if you can't face yourself in the mirror. Respect is the ultimate currency. I was stealing from a man who traded his away for a few dollars. And then he tried to wash away his guilt. Drown it in a lifetime of good deeds and a sea of respectability. It almost worked, too. But inevitably, the further you run from your sins, the more exhausted you are when they catch up to you. And they do. Certain. It will not fail."
"Det. Bill Mitchell: You see, there's just you and one other woman that fit the physical description of the female suspect. Stevie: What's that? Det. Bill Mitchell: It's your height, your age, and... um... Keith Frazier: Your cup size. Stevie: [smiles sardonically] So, I violated section 34 Double-D? That's what you're telling me?"
