Disney and Pixar`s "Inside Out 2" returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who`ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren`t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she`s not alone.

The first trailer received 157 million online views within the first 24 hours, more than any other Disney animated film, surpassing Frozen II (2019), with 116 million views.
An early draft of the screenplay introduced the following new color-coded emotions: Freedom (white), Love (magenta), Passion (cyan), and Strength (black). Later drafts replaced these with Anxiety (orange), Embarrassment, Ennui, and Envy.
Mindy Kaling and Bill Hader (who voiced Disgust and Fear respectively in the first film) declined to return due to pay disputes.
Despite being released nearly 10 years after the original film, this film is set 2 years later.
Kelsey Mann's directorial debut.
