IMDbThe mesmerising Bengali musical play "Jaatishwar" combines reincarnation, history, and song into one enthralling plot. The film, which was directed by Srijit Mukherji, takes audiences on a soul-stirring trip that spans time and examines the influence of poetry and art. The acting in "Jaatishwar" is superb, with Prosenjit Chatterjee giving two unique characters from different times a captivating representation. He was equally adept at playing a singer from the current day as a poet from the 19th century, demonstrating his range as an actor. The score for the movie, which was written by Kabir Suman, is essential to its narrative. The songs expertly meld traditional and modern elements, giving the story depth and passion. The past and present are skillfully woven together and timelines are transitioned with ease under Mukherji's guidance. The film's script raises interesting questions by delving into issues like identity, love, grief, and the cyclical cycle of life.
