The picture was controversial for billing the actual street address of a bordello in the closing credits where they stated "massage parlour sequences filmed at the Daily Planet, 9 Horne Street Elsternwick, Victoria". The name of the establishment in the movie is re-titled as "The Golden Palm".

The films are (in order) The Quest (1986), Jenny Kissed Me (1985), and Out of the Body (1989), and were each made and released around three years apart. Trenchard-Smith directed all three whilst Broadbridge was the producer on the first, one of two on the second, and an executive producer on the third.
