STORY

Story

The 1974 Jeep Wagoneer that Frank Daly (Brian Dennehy) drives has the license plate number of BDR-529 which is the same license plate number of the Bluesmobile from the movie The Blues Brothers.

One of a dozen films released by Orion Pictures in 1990. Many fans of the film believe that due to the quantity of product running through the studio's pipeline, that this film was lost in the shuffle and was not properly marketed or advertised.

Was released in several Asian and European territories under the title "Blue Heat".

Director John Mackenzie performed an uncredited rewrite on the script. It is believed that most of the political intrigue element and the humanistic touches in the characters were his work.

During production, several titles were considered - including "Street Legal" and "Point of Impact". Orion eventually settled on The Last of the Finest.
