TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

In a press conference at the Brussels Fantastic Film Festival 2002, Sir Christopher Lee referred to his performance in this movie as being "by far the best thing I've ever done."

It took seven years for this movie to be released on DVD because there was no distributer. The DVD was finally released on a two-disc set in 2005.

Lee considered this the most important role he had ever done.

Maria Aitken was cast at short notice after Vanessa Redgrave and Patricia Hodge turned down the role.

James Fox's brother, Edward Fox, appeared in Gandhi (1982).

Popular Dialogues

"Mohammed Ali Jinnah: [to a fundamentalist] You are an ignorant fool. I have fought for your mother, your sister, and your children's children to live in dignity. Islam doesn't need fanatics like you, Islam needs men of vision who will build the country. Now grow up, and serve Pakistan!"

"Narrator: Do you know where you are? Mohammed Ali Jinnah: I believe I have some idea."
