In The Basement of Death, there are two board games that fall off the shelves: the Family Ties board game and The Addams Family board game. Marc Price (Michael) played Irwin 'Skippy' Handelman on Family Ties (1982), and John Astin (Professor Mortimer Gangreen) played Gomez Addams on The Addams Family (1964).
In the beginning of the film, Marc Price comments on how "Michael J. Fox is a major motion picture star and [he] is making a Killer Tomatoes movie..." Marc Price and Micheal J. Fox appeared together on 'Family Ties (1982)'.
Originally announced in Return of the Killer Tomatoes! (1988), "...Eat France!" was intended to be the second sequel in the series, the third film later became Killer Tomatoes Strike Back! (1991)
