Days before his wedding in the Punjabi town of Jagrana, Paul Dhillon (Vishal Handa), a non-resident Indian man, is brutally murdered in the opening scene of "Kohrra." We get important insight into contemporary Punjab and the attitude of its inhabitants as the inquiry progresses and a web of lies, secrets, and convoluted connections inside problematic families are exposed. The ensemble cast of superb performers in "Kohrra," directed by Randeep Jha and written by Sudip Sharma, Gunjit Chopra, and Diggi Sisodia, includes Barun Sobti, Suvinder Vicky, and Manish Chaudhari, who give outstanding performances and lend realism to their roles. Balbir and Garundi are the names of the fictional local police officers played by Sobti and Vicky. They go on a trip where they come across family disputes, unsolved personal history, buried secrets, and compelling revelations as a result of their commitment to pursue justice.
