Kota Factory is based on the lives of students in a place called Kota, a city of coaching centres where students prepare for the toughest exam in India, the IIT-JEE. It's a black-and-white show that portrays the life of a student after coming to Kota. As previously stated, it is the most difficult exam, but preparing for it makes a student's life miserable, which is not at all enjoyable. It's a show with a very unique storyline and plot. Spectators can watch such a unique series on students, and this show has a very strong storyline. Although it is in black and white, it is not at all boring. Also, the character named Jeetu Bhaiya is going to be everyone's favourite. He is a positive light in any student's life. Watching him makes me wish that I could have a mentor like him. This show also portrays the beautiful story of three friends. This series will not disappoint you in any manner. The only sad part about this series is seeing students of age 16 taking so much burden on themselves to get admission in IIT.

Jitendra Kumar plays role of IIT mentor and is shown IIT pass out in the series. In real life also he is an IITian, he is an alumni of IIT Kharagpur.
Balmukund Meena played by Ranjan Raj is also an ex-IITian.
The show has used black and white color scheme which depicts the colourless, boring, depressing aspect of students' life in Kota. The colour scheme is inspired from the movie "Schindler's List" which is based on lives of Jews under gruesome rule of Nazis.
Jetu bhaiya's teaching style is inspired from NV Sir of Motion Education Pvt. Ltd, an IIT coaching institiute of Kota.
Revathi Pillai (who plays Vartika) was studying for her 12th standard exams while acting in this series.
