IMDbOriginally was titled "Lady Bloodsport".
Originally set to star Maggie Q, Shu Qi and Zhiyi Zhang and other top female stars of martial arts films.
Producer Justin Burch was called in to keep the film afloat after production issues arose as shooting began.
As with Writer & Producer Bey Logan's other projects, this film borrows heavily from other peoples work. His earlier project THE BLOOD BOND borrowed heavily from Wong Jing's THE LAST BLOOD, and his most recent project VIXEN borrows heavily from DIE HARD, this film which began life as LADY BLOODSPORT borrows its setting and many story elements from Newt Arnold's BLOODSPORT.
While Rosemary Vandebrouck's character introduced in the opening of the movie and she is seen arriving at the Kumite, the audience never get to see her actually fight in the finished film, and at the same time Mayling Ng's character is not seen arriving at the Kumite.
