The entire interior fuselage of the Lancaster Bomber in the movie was scratch built by producer Andrew Burn. The fuselage and rotating turrets were built in movable sections and included cutaways to enable the camera crew to undertake their work.
The Director (Callum Burn), Producer (Andrew Burn), Cinematographer (Sam Parsons), Set Builder (Scott Ellis), Make-up Artist (Aimee Garner) and 1st Assistant Director (Bryony James) all feature in the film.
The closing credits epilogue reads: ''Of the 125,000 aircrew who flew with Bomber Command during the Second World War, more than 55,000 lost their lives. This film is dedicated to all of the men and women who served with Bomber Command.''
Unlike a normal feature film Our Shining Sword [working title] was shot in five shooting blocks over two years.
David Dobson ("George Williams"), in heavy makeup, also plays "Patrick," the older Home Guard member who was snoring in the movie.
